Well it worked in diablo 3. and it also works with HotS.
Source: I tried, went from 7-10 spikes/min down to a MAXIMUM of 2 spikes/min
Of course this is for nvidia owners only!
I have a gtx 970 4g from MSI.
Running at 60+ fps constant on the highest settings in game!
Steps..
1. Start - Computer - Right Click - Properties
2. Click Device Manager in the left pane.
3. Open 'Sound, Video and Game Controllers'
4. Right click 'NVIDIA High Definition Audio' -- Select Disable
5. Right Click 'NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device' -- Select Disable
Note: This will disable your sound if you have a monitor hooked up via HDMI and it has speakers on it! Please post your results in this thread! Along with your graphics card of course! Hopefully this will get stickied so users don't have to search for it!

Damnnnn thanks a lot man it worked like a charm, playing on high settings 60 fps and no stuttering anymore, who would've thought such simple change can fix such thing.
Wait, this means I have to play hots without any sound though? I tried it and I have no sound now.
